« on: 13 August, 2008, 18:51:33 »
Hi guys..have always been liking this class (1:1) and rc is nice to..real fun... i have tested this app 2-3 yeras ago, with a HPI MT2 shrouded with a LRP 21 motor, Sidepipe, Sandpaws..real fun..to bad, the tranny was the minus..but but..

So, i ordred everything for a week or so ago..the Axial AX-10..

So far i miss one Amianorder with a widening kit, some Panther paddles, rims, carbonfibre stuf etc etc etc.. Missing my Tower order with Cromed rims and Sandpaws, crawler rder a Jeep body and some spurs..Maxamps 4000mah 2s lipo (saddle) 2 packs..

Mamba ESC will be used with a Losi Xceleroin 7500 motor and ACE1015 servo (14.5kg and app 0.08 or 0.10 digi)

first stuff..

il be back asap the other stuff arrives...

ANY tip,tricks would be great...

Nice build! You're the first person I know using those tires. When you've tested let us know what you think about them.
If I was you I'd buy 1.8 - 2.1k 3s lipo and put the battery in front of the car above the upper links.
Of course 4k 2s saddle pack is ok but it is heavier and doesn't have such power.

I may not be the best person to tell you how to improve your suspension setup
as I am using droop and different chassis on my own truck.
Anyway I prefer soft setup: soft oil, soft springs etc. and remember to add black stopper inside the shock.

Slideslide, may i ask, what wind or Kv rating are you using on your motors ?..i mean, can a 1800-2100 lipo 3s handle the burst from a 540 / 7500rpm/v

im using 30w oil, orange pistons and Losis softest springs...it "feels" ok. The tires seems ok, maybe soft?, i think they can perform real good @sof,loose sand...

Nice build and much better parts than standard! Where you get those "sand paws"?
I can answer about your question: i have S-size brushless motor, castle creation 5700kv and i drive 2s lipo.
I have good power and nice speed. im also using axial standard 30w oil its working good my car.

I'm using 3000kv L-motor because of more torque and longer run time compared to small size high kv motors.
In my opinion you have good rpm. I can't really say how much torque helps in a small car like yours.
At least it's not bad having it..

At least you have lots of power ;D.

None of has broken the tranny. We have had some small issues with shafts and spur but nothing serious.

Nice power, speed is unbelievable  ;D  I dont never see axial pop a wheelie like this, its funny vision  :)
Suspension bump pretty much, are you change it someway? Maybe harder setup, then car dont "twist" so much
or try some else motor? Castle Creation 5700kv motor its also good and hobbycity have some good possibility too.

Anyway, nice work and i think so, this is excelent challenger next year rc formula offroad world cahmpionships..  ;)
