FOFF AXIAL AX10 PACKAGE?
« on: 10 September, 2010, 18:32:13 »
Hello. I wonder if there is a web site where you can buy everything you need to AX10 formula car in an entire package?
so I dont need to look everywhere for parts of different suppliers and brands in many different websites. i dont expect it to be RTR. But it would be beneficial if all the parts come together. then I would also get the entire car in just one payment. Also easier to see what the car will cost in total.

If theres no such website, maybe someone in the forum who have much experience can set up an entire list of all the parts to be purchased with part numbers. I can send the list to the right store, so the store knows what they gonna send me:)

Regards Andreas
thanks

I'm not sure where to find wheel wideners, I'm looking for those myself too.
A lot of people have been using BMS-630, it has metal gears and very nice torque.
If you're only going to FOFF it's all about you, wether do you want to run after your car or not, :P

have looked on specs on "Pelkopopovicky".

he uses bms-630 servo, but I cant find it on www.amainhobbies.com.
so ill look some more on the site, to see if I can find a servo with some
of the same spec/price.

but not so sure about the radio tho.... Spekrum Dx3e looks expensive.
but it says: - One S200 digital servo included.
can this be used?

In rc cars, ''kori'' means the body of the car, usually the LEXAN body.
The servo seems to be 2,8kg if my calculations are correct, i think thats quite a small amount of torque for a FOFF car, since bms-630 has about 15kg.
You dont have to start with a 2,4ghz radio, almost any radio will do at the start.
I don't know much about wheelwideners, we just have to wait for someone to answer to that.

As far as i know it, radios have a standard for anything you're supposed to put in them. (Any servo should fit)
Have you ever had a R/C car before?
If you don't want to spend 100$ on a radio, you can search for less pricy ones.
Also you do need an Pinion to the car, I'm not sure how many teeth it should have, but it should be 48pitch pinion.

Ok. have a rc car. just forgot how the radio worked.  :-X
its an reciver, thats gets signal from the controller and then,
pass it on to the servo for steering, and the "esc" for motorpower....or so? :)

My current rc car is also ax10, but crawer tho.
see there are two pinions for the motor: 20t and 14t both 48p
more teeth, more speed?
http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced_search_result.php?n=RC-Cars-Trucks-Parts-Axial-Scorpion&filter_cat=780&keywords=pinion

also my crawler looses signal on 10 - 12 meters...so i thought the radio sucked.
but then, the antenna dont stick out of the roof on the crawler...its just buzzed around inside.

If you want to have some range, I'm afraid you have to have the antenna sticking out.
Any 48P pinion will do, just make sure the shaft size is correct (usually 3,17mm). http://www.amainhobbies.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=pinion+48p&x=0&y=0
More teeth, more speed, less torque and vice-versa.
