Okey, spring is getting closer here in Finland and now it's time to build a new Unlimited class rig. I had driven five years with my old rig and allthought it was unstoppable in the hills, it was time to put it on a shelf. ;)
I got the wheels and tires from my previous rig. That's the new body for the rig. If everything will go as planned, it'll get a Krawler Konceptz treat. ;)
Here is what I'm starting with. I bought it used and it had broken rear diff and pinion. Gotta fix those, when I find the parts.
Front axle is ready to go! 8)
Some working with the rear of the car is to be done.
That's where I got so far. I have to buy some parts first and then I can start building it. A little over a month to the first comp. ;D
I will have to hurry! :o

Stuff started to walk in. ;)

Let's get this project on the way! I've finished my crawlers, so now it's time to put the foff rigs on the move.
My starting point. ;D
Fortunately I've got company! ;)
Bought some wider hexes for it.
And new rear diff gearing.
All the spare parts in there. Let's see what I need.
Here's the old diff. To my naked eye, I don't see the gearing as big problem as the bearing on the right side. ;D ;D
New diff housing as well.
Will change everything just to be sure. ;)
Diff reassembled.
Some of this magnificent Vanquish Products grease on it and it's ready to rumble again. ;)
Attaching the diff housing to the rear axle.
Well greased! 8)
Few screws to attach still.
I'm beginning to see the bigger picture here! :D
Ladies and gents - we have a roller!! 8)
Diff works. ;D
It looks awesome as a roller IMO.
From the rear.
Next job would be repainting the body.
And the electronics workout after that. :D
Weight as a roller.
Aprrox. weight RTR.
Gonna run it with 5S and 2200kv motor. Same set as my previous rig. ;)
Battery fits on the box perfectly.
Here are my both foffers. They will be comp ready after this weekend. ;)
I'll continue with painting and electronics today in the garage. I want to test it today!! ;)
FINSKI:
Simple but still beautiful :)
